Replacing Worn Endcaps for Free

Worn, but otherwise sound end caps on extension ladders can often be exchanged with the end caps that don't normally get worn, such as those at the top of the bottom section, or middle section (if fitted). Make sure that they are the same size and shape and ensure that any fixings can be reused - don't attempt this if punched tabs or special rivets are used and as always if you are in any doubt please refer to the ladder's manufacturer.
